A Reclaiming chant about the elements enduring. This is one of the few Pagan chants written in a major key! The style of it is much more loose and gospel-y than the way it sounds in the MIDI file here. It is a great song at the end of ritual, either while grounding or as a closing piece. It is a versatile song which can be quiet or energetic, depending on the tempo, energy, other instruments used, and so on. It works well with a descant of simple harmonies. A lovely recording of it is available on Reclaiming's Second Chants CD, which you can **buy here.**
When we are gone they will remain
Wind and rock, fire and rain
They will remain when we return
The wind will blow and the fire will burn
