Pagan Chants

Snake Woman

This is a lovely Goddess invocation. There are several verses (written below). It is often sung as a call-and-response chant; in the score below, "L" is for Leader (the call) and "A" is for All (the response). I put in the "I" and "II" to indicate that when the "II" part begins, someone can keep singing the "I" part, which works in harmony.

You can find a recording of this on Reclaiming's original Chants album (**buy here**).

Snake Woman, shedding her skin
Snake Woman, shedding her skin
Shedding, shedding, shedding her skin
Shedding, shedding, shedding her skin

Bird Woman, taking flight...

Star Woman, shining bright...

Moon Woman, riding the night...

Star Woman, opening wide...

- Starhawk
