Pagan Chants

Fur and Feather

A chant to honor the animal kingdom - a simple chant, easy to teach and learn. This would be great for an animal blessing ritual. There's a nice recording of it on Anne Hill's Circle Round and Sing (**Listen & Buy Here).

I've heard several slight variations on the words, but these are the words given by Sable Taylor in her interview in Ellen Evert Hopman's Being A Pagan.

Fur and feather, scale and skin,
Different without, but the same within.
Many of body but one of soul,
Through all creatures are the gods made whole
